Implementing Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) In Clinical Trials
By David Turner, MS, CISA, President and CTO, Founder of Parallel6
Mobile technology is currently revolutionizing the clinical trial industry with faster, more efficient, and more compliant methods than traditionally used. The availability and familiarity of technology has opened the opportunity for patients to bring and use their own device for clinical trials. The method we are all becoming familiar with is known as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), which allows people to use their own preferred internet connected device like a smartphone or tablet. This new method is simplifying the process of capturing real-time patient data during clinical trials while increasing trial compliance and dropping costs.
