Aligning Technology to Patient Demographics
At a time when so many aspects of our everyday lives are influenced and enhanced by digital technology, it is clear that the momentum in global mobile communications offers a huge opportunity to address some of the significant challenges faced by the pharmaceutical industry. Up until recently, the adoption of digital technologies in clinical research has been slow in comparison with other science-based industries. This has been perhaps due to a number of factors, including security and patient data privacy concerns, apprehension around the inevitable challenges in embedding new processes, and uncertainty around the acceptance of new technologies by the industry regulators. However, recently we have seen the tide changing and the industry is now seeking to understand where, when and how best to reap the benefits of advances in mobile technology.
