ASCO to Explore Implications of Clinical Pathways on Research and Access

This is the first post in a blog series from the annual meeting of the world's leading cancer experts, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting. A number of sessions at this year’s meeting will be addressing this issue and looking at how value is being defined by patients, providers, payers and others with a stake in what cancer treatment decisions are made, when and why. An important part of these discussions will focus on the growing importance of clinical pathways to support high-quality, cost-effective care – a conversation with some important implications for the research and development of cancer therapies going forward.
