Accelerating DHT Research And Drug Development With Open-Source Big Data From Population Studies
In this Digital Health Monthly scientific webinar session, we focus on the scope and utility of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), a program of studies designed to assess the health status of individuals in the United States. Large-scale population studies like NHANES provide clinical researchers with a rich and diverse data set that otherwise they would not have the means to collect, expanding the analyses researchers can perform to address key health-related questions.
Data collected during this survey has included physical activity and sleep behavior data captured by wearable DHTs since the early 2000s, which has been used in thousands of epidemiological and health sciences research studies. Both academic researchers and clinical development professionals can learn more about this unique and rich data set, and how they can leverage this data to advance their research.
