Bringing Infectious Disease Studies To Patients

Source: Curebase
Utilizing Clinical Trial Nursing Services to Improve Retention & Facilitate Data Collection in a Rare Disease Trial

To target ideal participants, Curebase activated local testing sites that covered over 40 different local zip code areas. Curebase was able to utilize these popup testing sites by supporting staff with virtual site coordination that included Curebase virtual clinical research coordinators (CRCs). This was paired with Curebase’s sophisticated software platform that allows for research-naive clinical staff to easily follow onscreen instructions on how to handle study participant workflows.

While waiting in line for COVID testing, potential participants were able to scan a QR code, using their mobile device, where they were brought to the Curebase platform. From there, participants were prompted to input their information and get screened for the trial. Patients that passed prescreening on their phone were immediately brought to a page to eConsent for the study
