Catching Up With Consulting — DIA 2024 Insights
By April Purcell, Michelle Peter, and Gail Winslow
This article draws insights from the discussions and observations at the DIA 2024 Global Annual Meeting held in San Diego in June 2024. We extend our gratitude to our contributors, April Purcell (Specialist) and Michelle Peter (Senior Specialist), who engaged with Gail Winslow, Head of Marketing, post-conference to reflect on their experiences.
Throughout the event, several pivotal themes came to the forefront. Artificial Intelligence in clinical trials emerged as a dominant topic, echoing its significant presence in the broader industry discourse. The importance of international collaboration was underscored, particularly highlighted by the proactive stance of Japan's PMDA. Discussions also revolved around real-world data and evidence, consistently emphasized alongside considerations of regulatory guidance. There was a unanimous call for accelerating changes in clinical trials to expedite the introduction of new innovations to market and better address patient needs.
