Clinical Research Advantage Earns Finalist Status In 8th Annual Stevie Awards For Women In Business

Clinical Research Advantage, Inc. (CRA), a provider of a range of research services to pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations (CROs), announced recently that its senior vice president of clinical operations, Kim Kundert, RN, BSN, CCRC, was named a finalist in one of the Best Executive (service businesses) categories in the 8th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run – worldwide.  The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Friday, November 11, 2011.  Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S.A and several other countries are expected to attend.  The presentations will be broadcast live on radio in the U.S.A. by the Business TalkRadio Network.

More than 1,300 entries – a record for the competition - were submitted this year for consideration across 75 categories, including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur, Women Helping Women, and Communications Campaign of the Year.

Kundert was recognized for her role in CRA’s recent rapid expansion in establishing clinical research departments inside physician practices.  CRA opened 14 new sites and marked its entry into four additional states during the eligibility period for this awards competition.

“Kim’s ongoing dedication to the company and to bringing new drugs to market has not gone unnoticed by our entire organization.  It is not surprising that the Stevie Awards’ judges took notice as well, and we appreciate their recognition.  We are excited for Kim’s finalist status as her commitment to our clients and the community is unrelenting.  Acknowledgment of her commitment to enhancing patient care through clinical research is well deserved,” said Mark S. Hanley, CRA chief executive officer.

“I am honored to be selected as a finalist in this prestigious competition.  I appreciate that the Stevie Awards has created a competition solely recognizing the achievements of women in business.  This is so important, and I am pleased to be part of it.  I also am grateful to the judges for recognizing my contributions - not only at CRA but also to the local communities and patients we serve,” added Kundert.

Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.  Members of the six final judging committees will select Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during final judging.
