Clinical Research Site Payment Study

In March of 2016, Greenphire conducted a study of research sites across the country in an effort to further understand:

  • The current processes related to reconciling payments at research sites
  • The level of satisfaction at research sites around receivables
  • The impact that reconciling payments from sponsors / CROs has on the site's ability to conduct a clinical trial

Key takeaways from the survey include:

  • A site’s desire for automation - the survey revealed that 85 percent of sites would prefer to work with CROs or sponsors that automate their payment processes
  • Preferred payment frequency – 80 percent of sites prefer to be paid monthly vs. quarterly
