CRO Benchmarking - Results From Last Year's CRO Leadership Awards

Clinical Leader’s and Life Science Leader’s readership of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical executives have told us about their struggles in efficiently vetting potential CRO partners. In response to this input, the CRO Leadership Awards were developed.

Based on research from ISR Report’s Contract Research Organization Quality Benchmarking annual online survey, 50 CROs were evaluated on more than 20 different performance metrics. Research participants were recruited from biopharmaceutical companies of all sizes and were screened for decision-making influence when it comes to working with outsourcing partners. Respondents only evaluated companies with which they had worked on an outsourced project within the past 18 months. CROs have an opportunity to win these awards in up to three groups of outsourcing respondents – Big Pharma, Small Pharma, and Overall (combining the two). Companies that scored one standard deviation or more above the weighted average in each of the core categories are noted as the Champions.
