Overview:

In 2019, Clip Health (formerly Luminostics) was looking to study the accuracy and effectiveness of their SheCares self-administered diagnostic test for Chlamydia. Clip Health’s product vision was to offer closed loop, consumer-centric and smartphone-connected healthcare solutions with rapid, accurate, decentralized diagnostics at the core. To do this, Clip Health was looking for healthy, sexually active females who were likely to use an at-home Chlamydia test to participate in this study.

Challenge:

Infectious disease study recruitment can be challenging because many of the symptoms are acute and patients are unlikely to seek care at prestigious research centers where trials may be taking place.

Therefore, Clip Health needed to extend its reach to locate and recruit ideal participants. In order to attain the desired comparative data, Clip partnered with Curebase to reach patients where they were in a decentralized study setting.
