Diversify Endocrinology Study Enrollment With Optimized Trials

Recent research indicates that endocrine disorders disproportionately affect racial and ethnic minorities in the US. For instance, while 7.1% of non-Hispanic white Americans have diagnosed diabetes, the prevalence is higher among Hispanic Americans (11.8%), non-Hispanic black Americans (12.6%), and Native Americans/Alaskan natives (16.1%). These disparities are largely attributed to challenges in accessing preventive care and treatment among minority populations.

Engaging patients in their healthcare has proven to enhance health outcomes, and involving them in treatment and medication development through clinical research participation is particularly effective. However, research involvement rates are notably low among Black/African American and Hispanic/Latino populations, sometimes as low as 10.6%.

To address these disparities and improve endocrine health outcomes in underserved communities, proactive engagement in endocrinology research is crucial. Elligo Health Research offers an optimized trial model designed to facilitate this engagement effectively.
