Clinical trials are essential for medical advancements, yet face challenges in participant enrollment, especially among lower-income and diverse populations, due to financial burdens. Patients and caregivers often incur significant out-of-pocket expenses such as travel, meals, and childcare, which can deter participation.

Greenphire is working to address these issues by promoting financial neutrality through an initiative hosted by LUNGevity Foundation called The Equitable Access to Clinical Trials (EACT) project. Collaboratively, they have developed comprehensive tools and guidelines to aid trial sponsors in providing financial assistance. These efforts are designed to reduce barriers and enhance participation in clinical trials. The resources, available online at eactproject.org, strive to ensure broader and more inclusive trial enrollment, supporting a diverse patient population and improving overall study success.
