Growing Up Milk For Toddlers Launched With Added Vitamins

By Liisa Vexler

Producers of milk formulation products for infants, Cow & Gate, have developed and launched a new type of its ‘Growing Up Milk’ for toddlers.  It is claimed that the new formulation is able to supply a child with in excess of 100% of daily intake of vitamin D.  A toddler can achieve the percentage intake with only two bottles or cups of the drink, measuring 150ml per serving.

Representatives of Cow & Gate have stated that they strive to help parents give maximum nutritional benefit to their children as part of their overall daily diet.  James Haden, marketing manager for the brand, stresses that the company are keen to work with parents to keep levels of vitamin D, essential for development, at the right levels for their child.  Cow & Gate have marketed the product in such a way to re-enforce to parents that giving the newly formulated ‘Growing Up’ product to their child is a good way to give a top up to an existing balanced diet.  The product is designed to help parents to meet their child’s nutritional needs in a way that is already part of their daily diet and which will also be familiar to the child, and save time and additional buying/planning.  The product is being launched and delivered to market across the UK now, and comes in a range of sizes and in powder and ready-to-feed presentations.  Sizes include a 200ml tetra pack and a 1 litre carton for both the 1-2 and the 2-3 age brackets’.  The new brand also boasts the inclusion of other key nutrients such as omega-3, known to aid and support cognitive development and function in children.
