Oncology research poses several challenges, from detection and diagnosis to treatment and prognosis. To address some of these challenges, teams are turning to artificial intelligence and machine learning, which have the capabilities to revolutionize many human endeavors, including cancer research.

However, implementing these technologies often comes with its fair share of challenges, too. When done successfully, AI and ML can provide several opportunities to better understand existing data and make predictions based on vast datasets. While data integration continues to develop, its use already shows promise in some contexts. Continued efforts to improve data integration through artificial intelligence may further improve clinical trials.

These streamlined processes and improved management practices will ultimately help patients, providers, and clinical teams. Discover how AI and AL are being used to detect and diagnose cancers, classify cancer subtypes, optimize treatments, and more.
