Speaker Bio: Brad Carlin is a seasoned statistical researcher, methodologist, consultant, and educator. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Advisor for Data Science and Statistics at PharmaLex, a prominent international pharmaceutical consulting firm. Prior to this role, he dedicated 27 years to the faculty of the Division of Biostatistics at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, where he also served as division head for seven years. With extensive academic experience, Brad has held visiting positions at renowned institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, Cambridge University (UK), and M.D Anderson Cancer Center, among others.

He boasts an impressive publication record, including over 185 papers in esteemed books and journals, and has co-authored several influential textbooks. Notably, Brad served as the editor-in-chief of Bayesian Analysis, the official journal of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA), from 2006 to 2009. Throughout his academic career, he has mentored numerous PhD students and received accolades for his excellence in teaching and mentoring from the University of Minnesota. In his leisure time, Brad indulges his passion for music as a skilled musician and bandleader, lending his talents on keyboards, guitar, and vocals in various settings.
