How The inSeption Group Cooperativity Program Quickly Built A Client's Medical Writing Team

In today’s drug industry, innovation and progress can outrun human resources. Biopharmaceutical organizations can easily find themselves with more work on hand than employees to complete it. Such was the case for a recent inSeption Group (ISG) client. The company had developed a rich research pipeline and nourished strong partnerships with several larger pharmaceutical companies, leading to rapid growth, but lacked an in-house medical writing department.
The company’s in-house department had a well-qualified director of medical writing at its helm, but its work was performed by a rotating cast of contracted employees, and the company desired more permanence to maintain consistency as it grew. In response, ISG — who had been providing the contracted employees — partnered with the company to build an in-house medical writing department.  ISG created a standardized system for interviewing, scoring, and providing feedback to the client on potential candidates.
We worked directly with the client’s director of medical writing and recruiters during the interview process and, following ISG’s recommendations, the client filled three positions (two of which were management level) within three months. ISG continues to refine the Cooperativity Program that led to this success, as well as apply it to new clients, new departmental needs, and new roles.
