INC Research Appoints Jonathan Shough Chief Information Officer

Industry veteran with 20+ years’ experience to lead worldwide Information Technology strategy

INC Research, a leading, global Phase I to IV clinical research organization (CRO), recently announced the promotion of Jonathan Shough to Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, Mr. Shough leads INC Research’s worldwide Information Technology (IT) strategy, which harnesses best-of-breed technologies to power the Company’s integrated end-to-end Trusted Process delivery methodology and expedite critical clinical development decisions.

Mr. Shough previously served as INC Research’s Vice President of IT Operations, leading its worldwide infrastructure and telecommunications network systems. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the planning, design, implementation and administration of a broad range of worldwide IT and infrastructure systems, application platforms and telecommunications network systems. His previous experience includes IT leadership roles with large CROs, including Quintiles where he served as Executive Director of IT Client Development and was instrumental in the development, launch and commercialization of its Infosario IT platform. Prior to working in the CRO industry, Mr. Shough held several senior leadership positions of increasing responsibility in global telecommunications and commercial banking. He is a former president of the North Carolina Telecommunications Association (NCTA) and served as a member of the technical advisory board for Cisco Systems.
