INC Research Partners With Society For Clinical Research Sites

By Cyndi Root

INC Research, a clinical research organization (CRO), announced in a press release that it has formed a partnership with the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS). INC has agreed to be a two-year Global Impact Partner (GIP), the highest membership level at SCRS, a global trade organization for clinical research sites.

Jamie Macdonald, CEO of INC, said that the move is indicative of INC’s focus on clinical sites and their importance for developing new therapeutics.

Christine Pierre SCRS President, said, “Collaboration with leading organizations across the clinical research landscape is a pivotal strategic platform for SCRS. This commitment by INC Research speaks to their strong desire to better understand the sites' perspective, hear their voice, and grow closer to the core of the research process."

Global Impact Partner

INC will participate with SCRS as a Global Impact Partner (GIP). The membership level allows INC to participate with the SCRS Global Impact Board and the SCRS Leadership Council. This executive level positioning will allow INC to help set the agenda, connecting clients, patients, and sites. INC will participate in developing strategic initiatives for the Society’s 1,400 sites in 22 countries. Activities will include education, mentoring, and advocating, giving sites a greater voice in the clinical testing process.

About SCRS

The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) was founded in 2012 with a mission to unify clinical research sites worldwide. In October 2013, SCRS issued a press release relating the success it had recruiting major pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and investigators to its platform. GlaxoSmithKline, Janssen, Pfizer, Quintiles, Amgen, AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and Roche are members. SCRS said its members provide ongoing support and ensure that clinical sites have a say in industry initiatives. SCRS holds an annual Site Solutions Summit for CROs, industry suppliers, exhibitors, and attendees. The Summit is a forum for stakeholders to share ideas and challenges and to network with industry executives.
