The use of electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePRO) and electronic Clinical Outcomes Assessments (eCOA) improves the quality of the data in trial results and optimizes the clinical trial experience. While some have fully embraced and incorporated ePROs/eCOAs into the administration of clinical trials, many continue to use paper PROs/COAs.
