MPI Research Appoints Vice President Of Operations

MPI Research recently announced it has namedSusan L. Buckham, MS, as its new Vice President of Operations. In this role, Susan will be responsible for the strategic leadership and overall direction of operational activities for all functional areas involved with the coordination and execution of in vivo studies. In addition, she is responsible for allocating resources for growth and profitability and will ensure these needs are aligned with the business goals, while driving continuous improvement in compliance, quality and financial performance.

Susan brings 30 years of life science experience to this position, working in Animal and Human Health Research and Development and Food Safety. Most recently, she served as Executive Director for the Battle Creek Area Math and Science Center.  Previously, as Director of Analytical Services for Pfizer, Susan served as team lead for the creation and operations of two world-class GLP drug safety formulation and analytical labs (Kalamazoo, Mich., and Sandwich, UK). As Site Head for Covance, Susan led the build-out and operations of an ISO 17025 food safety testing laboratory in Battle Creek, Mich.

She earned a Master of Science from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science from Wilmington College of Ohio.
