Dr. Modell is a board-certified psychiatrist with approximately 40 years of experience in clinical research, both in academia – conducting trials, teaching, and providing patient care, and within the pharmaceutical and CRO industries – experience in clinical drug development (proof of concept through market support), medical affairs, successful NDA filings, medical governance, drug safety, compliance, and management.

As Vice President and Senior Medical Officer at Rho, Dr. Modell provides medical and scientific strategic and operational expertise across multiple therapeutic areas to ensure the integrity of clinical trials and the safety and welfare of subjects in these trials; and to maximize study efficiency, validity, signal detection, regulatory approvability, and ultimate benefit to patients.
