Site Satisfaction: The Importance Of Easy-To-Use Technologies
Technology is playing an increasingly important role in clinical trials, helping to improve efficiency, compliance, and data quality. New advances are changing the face of the industry, and with them come new opportunities and challenges at every level. While electronic data capture, trial management platforms, and other eClinical solutions are helpful, in most cases the people using the platforms did not choose them.
More often than not, these technologies are selected by the trial sponsor, making the site team contractually obligated to use a particular platform. In addition to not being part of the selection process, it isn’t uncommon that teams will have to be trained on multiple platforms to support trials sponsored by different companies. Although this doesn’t always have a negative outcome, if a platform fails to function in a way that improves the study start-up times or doesn’t decrease manual data entry, the typical user will not be satisfied with the platform implementation or its capabilities. As a result, efficiency and site satisfaction will be negatively impacted.
Learn why clinical study technologies must be easily used across sites and fit into the team’s workflows.
