Study Activation Survey Report

The 2023 Study Activation Survey Report compiles insights and experiences from more than 500 clinical research experts in North America regarding various processes, including site feasibility, budgeting, contracting, patient recruitment, and subject compensation, on study initiation. In addition, the report also explores the role of technology and site tools, shedding light on their advantages and challenges.
According to the results of the survey, clinical research sites have encountered a growing workload in study activation over the past five years. While several technologies and tools have demonstrated advantages in terms of efficiency, compliance, and quality, it's noteworthy that systems provided by sponsors are now presenting more significant challenges for these sites. Improvements in site feasibility, contracting, and budgeting processes present opportunities for sponsors and contract research organizations (CROs) to alleviate the burdens faced by sites during the planning and initiation phases of studies.
As a sponsor or Contract Research Organization (CRO), utilize this report to gain valuable insights for enhancing the overall site experience during clinical trial operations, improving the site experience, expediting study initiation, and advancing clinical development in ways that are less taxing for research sites.
