Successful Partnership Advances AML Program To Phase II/III

A late-stage oncology biotech was developing a promising acute myeloid leukemia (AML) therapy to retain the antitumor activity of an established drug class while avoiding the heart-related side effects that had limited its use. Because of those concerns, the FDA required early testing outside the U.S. The sponsor turned to Worldwide Clinical Trials, a partner it already trusted from a prior solid tumor study, for back-end support such as biometrics, safety, and medical writing. Then slowing enrollment, delayed documents, and fading site engagement put the Phase I/II study at risk, and the sponsor expanded that partnership to full-scope delivery.
Worldwide drew on deep hematology/oncology expertise and established European site relationships to re-engage sites and restore momentum. It completed the study across nine sites in Italy and Poland, and no heart toxicity was observed. The results supported alignment with both the FDA and EMA. Discover how a collaborative partner can turn a struggling early-phase study into the foundation for registrational success.
