UBC was pleased to receive numerous Healthcare Marketing Report’s 36th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards for their exemplary work.

The Healthcare Advertising Awards is the oldest, largest, and most highly regarded healthcare advertising awards competition. The awards are sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report, the leading publication covering all aspects of healthcare marketing, advertising, and strategic business development.

This year over 4,000 submissions were received, which makes it the largest healthcare advertising competition and one of the 10 largest advertising competitions overall. A national panel of judges reviewed all entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design, and overall impact.

Some noteworthy competitors included Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Mayo Clinic, AvMed, Children’s Hospital, Duke University, INOVA, and Ronald McDonald House.

UBC was recognized for the following standout work:

In addition to the Healthcare Advertising Awards, UBC also received multiple 2019 Aster Awards.

The Aster Awards, one of the largest, most respected national competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine and Creative Images, Inc. This elite program has recognized outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing efforts for over 18 years.

All entries are reviewed by a panel of industry experts and are scored on multiple criteria with a possibility of 100 percent. Participants’ entries compete against similar-sized organizations in their specific groups and categories. Some of the criteria used to score entries included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. Only the top 5% of entries were recognized with GOLD awards.

“The quality and creativity of the entries submitted seems to increase each year. The 2019 Aster Awards program brought together some of the best and most creative advertising in the world,” said Melinda Lucas, Aster Awards Program Coordinator.
