UW Carbone Cancer Center Gains Visibility Into Site Accrual

Introduction
Monitoring accrual is a key responsibility for a cancer center administrator. From answering questions for leadership to preparing for a grant submission, knowing the ins and outs of a site’s accrual metrics can ensure greater operational efficiencies center-wide. However, gathering data about accrual across different protocols and study groups often requires custom reporting and a high degree of manual effort to get the right information.
The Experience at UW Carbone Cancer Center
The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) was the first cancer research center founded by a university, and one of the first six Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States as designated by the National Cancer Act in 1973. Its history of groundbreaking cancer research continues to this day as UWCCC conducts cutting-edge clinical trials. To better understand and present data on operational metrics, they needed a solution to take their reporting to the next level.
Using Advarra Insights, UWCCC was able to enhance their data analytics and visualization capabilities. This case study tells the story of how Insights helped them improve operational oversight, especially through greater visibility into site accrual metrics.
