Wes Wheeler, Marken CEO, Speaks About Marken Expansion

In an interview with World Pharmaceutical Frontiers, Wes Wheeler Outlines Current and Future Marken Plans

Marken passed an important milestone on 20 August 2012. With the launch of two new pharmaceutical depots, one in Germany and one in New York, the organisation successfully completed phase I of its global depot network plan. Strategically placed to support clinical trials across the globe, the two new depots join existing operational facilities in Singapore, Mexico City and Buenos Aires. Like their predecessors, the Frankfurt and Farmingdale outposts provide secure temperature-controlled storage for life science assets – drugs, medical devices and diagnostic equipment. They can also deliver speedily and cost efficiently to anyone within the wider region.

“All our depots are designed for pharmaceutical products only, so, unlike those of our competitors, our depots are like miniature pharmaceutical plants,” says Wes Wheeler, CEO of Marken. “They’re constructed according to FDA and EMEA standards, and provide highly specialised storage areas for drug products and patient kits used in clinical trials.”
