What Is eCOA And How Does It Improve Clinical Trial Data Quality?
By Kelly Dumais, PhD – Senior Scientific Advisor

In clinical trials, patients can report how they feel, are functioning, and surviving in Clinical Outcome Assessments. Traditionally offered in a paper format, researchers have recently shifted to collecting COAs electronically using various electronic methods, including handheld devices, tablet devices, or patients’ own devices or computers. As the adoption becomes more widespread, clinical trial stakeholders (including sponsors, CROs, and regulators) have reported that using eCOA in clinical trials can substantially increase study data quality while meeting regulatory requirements.
Discover how eCOA data capture can improve clinical trials by providing improved data quality, regulatory compliance, and accelerated clinical development.
