Enhancing Phase 1 Clinical Trials With Point-Of-Need Safety Assessments

Syneos Health faced a challenge in a Phase 1 study that required monitoring for ocular side effects but lacked the necessary resources for comprehensive eye exams. To address this, 20/20 Onsite introduced its Mobile Clinical Suite (MCS) at the Syneos Health Miami Phase 1 Unit. The MCS provided advanced equipment and skilled personnel for on-site eye assessments, enabling the successful completion of the trial with over 65 patients. This included conducting various eye tests while ensuring data integrity and improving patient care. The partnership was cost-effective, eliminating the need for significant investment in equipment and staffing. The success of this collaboration led to further partnerships in additional Phase 1 trials, showcasing the MCS's versatility and effectiveness in clinical research environments.
