How MRN'S Continuous Improvement Ethos Serves Patients And Clients
By Malcolm Horsley, MRN
For nearly 16 years, MRN has been operating in the decentralized clinical trial (DCT) space, but only since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic have most contract research organizations (CROs) and Sponsors begun to embrace DCTs as the new “normal.” Initially driven by the temporary closure of clinical trial sites, these efforts often fall short due to tunnel vision on digital channels, without appropriate consideration of the human element.
To ensure clinical studies provide high-quality data and care within the intended timeline while accommodating patient and provider needs, Sponsors must understand what constitutes quality in a DCT. Quality always is multifaceted in a good clinical practice (GCP) environment: it includes high-quality data, a sense of urgency, meticulousness in all tasks, and an optimized experience for both patients and clients.
