The (True) Patient Journey

The patient journey in clinical trials can present several pain points. While it all starts with lengthy and complex eligibility criteria, excluding some individuals and limiting the diversity of participants, there are many additional hurdles that participants don’t always consider when getting involved with a drug development study.
Common in most clinical trials, the process often involves frequent visits and procedures, causing inconvenience and disruption to daily life. From appointment scheduling to payments, lodging, parking, and more (depending on the distance from the site), each participant will have to overcome some, if not all, of these hurdles, during their health journey.
